This is such a beautiful collection - I don't usually go for the girly, floaty chiffons but its been used in a really grown up way. The models are so doll-like.

Shangri La
Today's been a bit quiet as I'm currently chugging through dissertation books! so I've decided to upload some of my summer work which is a bit more fun. Below are my favourite pages from my 'inspiration' sketchbook. The concept it based loosely around Shangri La, a post-apocalyptic themed field at Glastonbury Festival (2011). Instead of escaping from a virus I chose instead to turn it onto the troubles and destruction of war, with their Shangri La found in outer space. And so it begins..
So, I've just started possibly the hardest year of my life!.. (or that how it feels) I'm going to try and update this most days with whats going on! So far I have a nice big big space to spread out my work (although whether this remains is to be seen!) a broken bike, 3 sketchbooks and a packet of chocolate mice. These were soo good to come home to. The pictures will (hopefully) get more exciting as the year goes on as it's just inductions at the moment. Dissertation proposal review tomorrow..
