Bugsy Malone anyone?

Strong 50s juke box vibes throughout D&G's AW 2012 collection. Delicate pussy bows and chiffon roll along-side gangster pinstripes and sharp tuxs. The odd splash of glitter makes it lust-worthy and typical of the era's glamour.. Someone steer me away from the blue sequined trousers!

Moschino AW 2012

I'm not usually a fan of Moschino, I can't really explain why other than a conflict of interests. However AW 2012 is quite inspiring; taking a step away from military chic which has been rolled out many, many times on the catwalk, Moschino instead take you to a 'Upper Middle Class Gala Event' introducing you firstly to the chauffeur with the masculine shapes, suits and colours into the heart of the party amongst the gentry - following skirts and lavish coats. Quite a 'cartoony' feel through the use of colours.

Nicole Farhi AW 2012

The volume in the skirts is so dreamy and weightless. Taking inspiration from history this is quite a simple collection but nevertheless creates maximum impact. The chunky jumper tucked into a vintage-esque skirt is a cute but edgy combination and I love the layering over the skirts and jackets and the shapes they create.

Stella McCartney AW 2012

Can anyone tell that I've just finished reading September issue? The masculine/feminine look is going to be strong inspiration through my final year collection and McCartney once again uses this perfectly. I love the rounded shoulder shape appearing through the jackets and blouses.

Celine AW 2012

Loving the over-sized masculine coats throughout the Celine collection. The traditional tweed is a contrasting texture mix with the wet look strip down the leggings.

Balenciaga AW 2012

The runway show featured below doesn't do these garments the justice they deserve in the 2d. The campaign printed in Vogue (sept) does a much better job. Really geometric and angular. I'll upload the campaign later. :)
