What I bought at the weekend..

Amongst all the rain I managed to get to a couple of car boots at the weekend!
I've been going to car boots since I was young and usually manage to get quite a haul of stuff for hardly any money - bonus! I love car boots, they're definitely more exciting that high street shopping or eBay.  Sometimes you come away with nothing but it's quite exciting never knowing what your going to find and a great cheap way to find your own unique style.

My favourite items from this weekend definitely have to be the Chanel nail varnishes and the little paddington bear style bag!

Sunglasses - 50p
Purse - £1
Handbag (Vintage) - £2
Floral top (Vintage) - £1
Barry M (Coral, Blueberry, Aquamarine&Mint) & Rimmel (Grey Matter) nail varnishes - 20p ea.
Chanel Nail Varnishes (Diabolical & Trapeze) - £1 ea

Celebrate good times..

After all the hard work, stress, tears and tiredness... I found out today that my degree has been confirmed as 'first class'!

More-than-chuffed and happily surprised. :)

Thanks to everyone who's wished me well and congratulated me.
Hopefully more good things are to follow but for now... I'm gonna chill out!

Chernobyl

Some chilling images of the fallout and desolation of Chernobyl that I based part of my my final collection around.

Stumbled across these in full colour on my internet travels so thought I would share them.

That's all, Folks!

This morning, I handed in my portfolio for my last ever deadline of uni.
ever.
in the entire world.

Literally can't believe that 3 years of uni has come and gone so fast.
Although I've always been building up to this final year, nothing could have prepared me for it. It's been long, and it's been hard but I've met some fantastic people throughout and I definitely couldn't have done it without them!

Well done to everyone as well on such a quality show last weekend, it's funny how there was definitely everyone's own personality in their collection and they all looked amazing. It was definitely the best thing ever to see something you've worked so hard on go down a catwalk!

You can see a full line-up of catwalk images from the show at www.mlphotographic.com or www.hargreavesimages.co.uk!

UWE Graduate Fashion Show 2012

it's all done, finished, over!! It's been a excellent, fun packed, fast couple of days.  Everyone was amazing and special thanks to the dressers and models who gave up their Fridays and Saturdays to make it an fantastic show.

As for designers, all the collections were absolutely amazing and everyone commented on how good the quality was. We should all be proud!

1 week until our final deadline and its lights out on 3 years of being a fashion student at UWE.. it's gone way too fast.

last minute button sewing!

Alternative Menswear Line Up

my menswear alternative line up for my graduate collection 'Shangri La'. Definitely made a welcome change to design for men instead and ended up quite enjoying it. :)

perhaps a jump to menswear instead?

sneak peek, BFC for Mulberry competition.

so, i've decided to enter the Mulberry for British Fashion Council competition and i've dug out some leather samples from when I interned at Mulberry a couple of years ago. Luckily the colours are perfect and really 'POP'! All that's needed is a trip to London to get source some softer fabrics to contrast with the leather..

The 6 outfit collection has to be based on my idea of what it is to be 'British' and so far i've found some wonderfully tacky, quintessentially British imagery, by Martin Parr, to base my design range on.

Socks and sandals, you beaut.

dreamy..

if i said you had to view these photos with no noise what-so-ever around you... would you get what i mean?

the blog is contributed by various photographers that aim to create an impact through the image, a sense of intrigue simulated by focusing on and how it is shot, rather than it's content.
